Itinerary

Day 1

Casablanca – Rabat

After breakfast Visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the largest temple in the world after the mosque in Mecca.

Departure to Rabat, after an hour and a half drive arrival to the imperial city of Rabat to visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower.

Night in a charming riad.

Day 2

Rabat – Meknes – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast, we will visit Meknes, a city that reached its peak thanks to Sultan Moulay Ismail.
Arrival at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. We will stroll through the cobbled streets and admire the impressive mosaics and architectural structures dating back to Roman times.

We continue the journey to Fez, the oldest imperial city in Morocco where we will spend the night in a charming riad.

Day 3

Guided tour of the medina of Fez (Old Town of Fez)

During our guided tour of the Medina of Fez, there are a variety of fascinating places to explore. Here are some things you might see during your tour:

  • Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate): This iconic gate is the main entrance to the Medina and is known for its stunning blue and green architecture.
  • Attarin Madrasa: An ancient Quranic school displaying beautiful mosaics and wood carvings, representing the excellence of Islamic architecture
  • Souks and Labyrinthine Streets: Immerse yourself in the bustling market of the Medina, where you can find a variety of products such as spices, fabrics, ceramics and more.
  • Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University: Visit one of the oldest mosques in the world and one of the oldest continuously operating universities
  • Fez Tannery: Watch the ancient leather dyeing process, a tradition that has been maintained for centuries in these tanneries
  • Bab Semmarine and Bab Chorfa: Other impressive doors that offer access to different parts of the Medina

We will head south through the Middle Atlas, stopping in Ifrane, known as “The Switzerland of Morocco”, famous for its alpine architecture.
We will continue towards the Azrou Cedar Forest, home of the famous Barbary apes.

Day 4

Merzouga desert

We will leave Midelt in the morning, passing through the Ziz palm valley until we reach the Merzouga Desert, where
we will have an exciting camel ride and spend the night in a haima camp within the dunes of the Merzouga desert.

Day 5

Merzouga – Rissani –Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Today we will have the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience watching the sunrise over the sea of ​​dunes in the desert. After breakfast we will return to Merzouga on camels and after a shower we will leave for Tinghir, “the city of the mountain” in Berber, another beautiful Berber village where we will delight in the contrast of its palm groves and its pink-painted houses. We continue the route and the landscape shows us its contrasts.

We are in the Todra Gorges, formed by rock walls over 200m high and with a clear, crystalline river running through it. After visiting it, we will head towards the Dades Valley, a Berber village also famous for its high gorges, its beautiful landscapes and its views of the Atlas.

Day 6

Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and after 25 km of road we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for being the setting for blockbuster films such as the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Sheltering Sky” or “Babel”.

We will follow the road that, crossing the Tichka port, will take us to the “Red City” of Marrakech. Night in a charming Riad / Hotel.
