Itinerary
Day 1
ARRIVAL IN MARRAKECH
Arrival at Marrakech airport, reception by our staff and transfer to your Riad / charming hotel.
Day 2
MARRAKECH VISIT
After breakfast, visit Marrakech. There are many monuments that you can visit with our driver: Bahia Palace, Yamaa el Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, souks and the Koutoubia mosque.
Free afternoon, night in your charming Riad/Hotel.
Day 3
MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE – VALLEY OF ROSES – DADES VALLEY
After breakfast we will cross the High Atlas (where we will stop to take photos of the beautiful Berber settlements lost in the middle of the Atlas) through a mountain pass with a height of more than 2,260 m.
We will cross Berber villages until we reach the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, where several internationally famous films were shot, such as Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara (with Penolope Cruz).
Arrival in Ouarzazate. After taking photos of the Kasbah of Taourit, we will head towards the palm grove of Skoura with its beautiful Kasbahs. We will travel through the Valley of the Roses until we reach the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation in a charming riad/hotel.
Day 4
DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGE – MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast we will leave for the Todra Gorges.
After a walk through the palm grove of Tinghir, we will continue towards Erfoud passing through the palm grove of Tinjdad and that of Touroug. We continue our journey towards the impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Swap your car for camels to admire the sunset and spend the night in the middle of the dunes.
Dinner and night in Haimas in the middle of the desert.
Day 5
ENJOYING THE DUNES OF THE
MERZOUGA DESERT
The second day in the desert will be dedicated to enjoying the most spectacular part of the Eastern Sahara.
We will enter the desert in a 4X4, visit nomadic villages, see oases and ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Continuing along the route we will visit the famous village of Khamlia where the Gnawa, descendants of slaves from Africa, are found, and we will enjoy their surprising folk music.
In the evening we will return to the hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 6
Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fez
Can you think of a better way to start the day than watching the sunrise in the desert? After living an unforgettable experience and being fascinated by the reddish hues of the sun on the desert dunes, we will get back on our camels and head to our hotel.
We will leave for Fez, passing through Tafilalet and Rissani, the ancient capital of the Alaouite sultans and the place where this famous dynasty originated, which still reigns in Morocco today.
Later, we will continue our journey passing through Azrou and Ifrane, where we will stop at the so-called Monkey Forest to respectfully admire these beautiful animals and even interact with them by feeding them.
After finishing our meeting with the friendly primates, we will resume our journey to arrive in Fez approximately an hour and a quarter later, around 6:00 p.m.
Day 7
GUIDED TOUR OF THE MEDINA OF FEZ (OLD TOWN)
We will spend the day getting to know Fez , visiting the golden doors of the Royal Palace, built by bronze masters.
We will visit the old Medina with its Koranic Medersa, the Nejjarine fountain, one of the most beautiful in the medina, the Karaouine Mosque, which houses one of the main cultural centers of Islam and is the headquarters of the University of Fez, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss.
We will stop in the famous tanners’ quarter, unique in the world. Lunch stop (not included). We continue visiting the Medina of Fez with its artisans’ quarters divided by guilds. Accommodation and breakfast in a charming riad.
Day 8
FEZ – CHEFCHAOUEN (BLUE TOWN)
After picking you up at the hotel or riad where you are staying early in the morning, we will head north until we reach the Rif area, where Chauen, our destination, is located.
Once in Chefchaouen, inside the medina, you cannot miss the Uta el-Hammam square (the heart of the city and the ideal place to eat), the Great Mosque (with a curious octagonal tower) and the Kasbah (which contains a garden, a museum and an art gallery).
Leaving the medina, the most famous spot is the Ras El-Maa waterfall, where the sound of the water and the green hills provide a great dose of fresh air. If you continue walking, you will get a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Night in a charming Riad / hotel.
Day 9
CHEFCHAOUEN (BLUE CITY) – TANGIER
We will leave Chefchaouen heading towards Tangier. Along the way, admire the stunning mountain landscapes and stop at some picturesque spot to take photos.
Once in Tangier, begin your exploration by visiting the old town, the Medina, where you’ll find narrow streets lined with shops, cafes and bazaars. Don’t miss the Kasbah, with its panoramic views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Atlantic Ocean.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant where you can try typical Moroccan dishes.
After lunch, continue your visit by exploring the souks of Tangier, where you can find a wide variety of local products, from handicrafts to spices.
End the day with a stroll along the Paseo Maritimo, enjoying the views of the sea and the hustle and bustle of the port city.
Day 10
