Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Fez
Arrival at Fez airport, reception by our staff and night in a charming riad.
Day 2
GUIDED TOUR OF THE MEDINA OF FEZ (OLD TOWN)
We will spend the day getting to know Fez , visiting the golden doors of the Royal Palace, built by bronze masters.
We will visit the old Medina with its Koranic Medersa, the Nejjarine fountain, one of the most beautiful in the medina, the Karaouine Mosque, which houses one of the main cultural centers of Islam and is the headquarters of the University of Fez, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss (Founder of the City of Fez).
We will stop in the famous tanners’ quarter, unique in the world. Stop for lunch (not included). We continue visiting the Medina of Fez with its artisans’ quarters divided by guilds. Accommodation and breakfast in a charming riad.
Day 3
FEZ – IFRANE – MONKEY FOREST – MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT
After a delicious breakfast we will head towards the Merzouga desert, but not before crossing the Middle Atlas and then passing through a beautiful national park known for its cedar forest where the famous Barbary apes are found.
We will then travel through the Ziz Valley which will take us to Erfoud, known for its fossils and its magnificent views. Various scenes from the film The Mummy were filmed here. Arrival in the desert, specifically in Merzouga, known as the jewel of the desert, due to its beautiful views and its immense dunes.

Day 4
ENJOYING THE DUNES
OF MERZOUGA
The second day in the desert will be dedicated to enjoying the most spectacular part of the Eastern Sahara.
We will enter the desert in a 4X4, visit nomadic villages, see oases and ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Continuing along the route we will visit the famous village of Khamlia where the Gnawa, descendants of slaves from Africa, are found, and we will enjoy their surprising folk music.
At dusk we will return to the hotel to take the camels that will take us to our camp near the desert dunes, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5
MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
Today we will have the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience watching the sunrise over the sea of dunes in the desert. After breakfast we will return to Merzouga on camels and after a shower we will leave for Tinghir, “the city of the mountain” in Berber, another beautiful Berber village where we will delight in the contrast of its palm groves and its pink-painted houses.
We continue along the route and the landscape shows us its contrasts. We are in the Todra Gorges, formed by rock walls over 200m high and with a clear, crystalline river running through it. After visiting it, we will head towards the Dades Valley, a Berber village also famous for its very high gorges, its beautiful landscapes and its views of the Atlas, now on the horizon. Day 6
DADES VALLEY – VALLEY OF ROSES – OUARZAZATE – AÏT BEN HADDOU – THE PORT OF TICHKA – MARRAKECH
We will cross the Dades Valley and the Valley of the Roses, until we reach the cities of Ouarzazate, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular village of clay and stone with buildings surrounded by large walls, an aspect that makes it one of the most beautiful places in Morocco, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is also famous for being the setting for film blockbusters such as the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Sheltering Sky” or “Babel”.
Once visited, we will follow the road that crosses the Tichka pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco, with more than 2,260 meters of height and impressive views that will lead us to the “Red City” of Marrakech.

Day 7
MARRAKECH VISIT
After breakfast, visit Marrakech. There are many monuments that you can visit with our driver: Bahia Palace, Jamaa el Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, souks and the Koutoubia mosque. Night in a charming Riad
Day 8
MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA
Essaouira is a relaxed and peaceful Moroccan town located in the west of Morocco. It is the perfect place to relax and take a break from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. In the Berber language, Essaouira means ‘wall’ and travellers from all over the world do not miss the opportunity to explore this beautiful city, its special climate and its delicious fresh seafood.
Our two-day excursion from Marrakech to Essaouira starts at your Riad, where we will pick you up to begin the journey through the attractive Moroccan valleys bathed by orange trees, olive groves and farms. Once you arrive in Essaouira, you will be amazed by the contrast of its medina bordered by walls and occupied by bazaars that are easy to navigate. Its surprising beaches are the ideal place to practice surfing. Visiting the port is a must, you will feel like you are travelling back in time and going back in time. Overnight in a charming hotel.
Day 9
ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH
After breakfast in your riad, free day to explore other alleys in Essaouira and enjoy lunch at your favourite spot. Return to Marrakech around 6pm.

MARRAKECH – AIRPORT TRANSFER
After breakfast and at the scheduled time, transfer to Marrakech airport. End of the trip and our services.
