Itinerary
Day 1
Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
The first day we will leave Marrakech behind to head towards Ouarzazate. On the way we will cross the amazing landscapes of the Atlas through the incredible Tizi n'Tichka pass, 2,260 meters high.
Halfway we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, set of movies like Gladiator or Kingdom of Heaven. Here you will have approximately two and a half hours to visit the most amazing fortified city of Morocco and have lunch.
Continuing the tour we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where we will stop for half an hour to take pictures of the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt.
We take the road of the Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura, and from here we cross the Roses Valley to finally reach the Dades Valley, dinner and sleep in a charming hotel.
Day 2
Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast we will set off to the Dades Valley and cross the incredible Todra Gorges to walk and enjoy the scenery.
We will continue our way towards Merzouga and cross the Jorf palm grove (popular for being the cradle of the best dates in the country) and have lunch before arriving in Erfoud, a small village known for its fossil fragments.
Once in Merzouga we will leave the vehicle to enter the desert on the back of a camel in search of the camp where we will spend the night. Here, in the silence of the Erg Chebbi desert, we will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners in Morocco.
Day 3
Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Tizi N'Tfrkhin - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
If there is something unforgettable in the desert of Erg Chebbi is the sunrise. After contemplating this moment we will take the camels again to go to the hotel.
On the way back to Marrakech we will pass through the Palmeral of Tafilalet and the village of Rissani, origin of the Alaouite dynasty. We will cross the plateaus of Accacia raddiana and the desert of stones to reach Alnif, where we will take the road that crosses the Anti Atlas mountain range passing through Tizi N'tfarkhin. We will continue our way through the village of Tinghir and the Dades valley.
We will arrive at Klaat M'Gouna at noon, where we will stop for lunch and rest before continuing our journey to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains.
We will be back at your hotel in Marrakech around 8:30 pm.
End the tour in Fez
If you wish, it is also possible to finish the tour in Fez, in this case, the itinerary of the last day would be different.
After a good breakfast, we will drive to Rissani, the ancient capital of the Alaouite sultans.
